Lindbergh High School Football
Head Coach Nathan Norman begins his seventh year as Head Football Coach at Lindbergh High School after coaching six years at Class 4 Cape Central High School in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. During his tenure at Cape Central, Norman and his staff earned two Conference titles, three District titles, three State Semifinal appearances, finished second in Missouri Class 4 in 2014, and compiled a 41-23 cumulative record. Coach Norman was named SEMO Conference and MSHSAA District Coach of the Year multiple times and was honored as the 2014 Missouri State Class 4 Coach of the Year.
Coach Norman began his coaching career in 2002 at Jackson High School, a Class 5 school in Jackson, Missouri. During his seven-year stint there, he coached a variety of positions, including linebackers and running backs, and served as Offensive Coordinator for one season. He also served as an assistant coach for Wrestling and Track and Field.
In 2009, Coach Norman joined the college ranks as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at the University of Mississippi, where he worked with the football, baseball and basketball programs. He is a Strength and Conditioning Certified Coach through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCA).
In 2010, Coach Norman returned to Southeast Missouri and was hired at 0-10 Cape Central to coach linebackers,running backs and serve as Offensive Coordinator. During his first year, Cape Central played for a District Championship and went 10-2. Norman was selected as Cape Central Head Coach following the 2010 season and served in that capacity for the next five seasons.
Originally from Southeast Missouri, Coach Norman graduated from Jackson High School in 1996 where he was a three-sport all-state athlete in Football, Wrestling and Track and Field. After graduation, he attended the University of Arkansas on a football scholarship, lettering four years as a fullback. In 2000, he received his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and was selected as a free agent draft choice with the Carolina Panthers at fullback.
After his football career, he returned to the University of Arkansas and graduated in 2002 with a Master of Arts in Teaching degree and is certified in Missouri to teach K-12 Physical Education and Health.
Coach Norman resides in St. Louis with his wife of 22 years, Audrey, who teaches elementary education. They have two sons, Owen, 16, and Noah, 14, both students in the Lindbergh School District.
