Lindbergh’s Flag Football Team to attend the NFL Pro Bowl in Orlando, FL!

On December 28th Lindbergh’s Flag Football league coordinator, Donna McNamara, received a phone call from the NFL Flag representative requesting a team of ten players (ages 13-14) and two coaches to participate in the 2017 Pro Bowl Week Festivities in Orlando.
The Pro Bowl is the National Football League’s all-star game for the 2016 season which will be played at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida on January 29, 2017.

Thirty-two NFL Flag teams will compete for the title in the 13-14 Boys division. The 13-14 Boys Championship Game will be aired on ESPN as part of the network’s broadcast of the Pro Bowl at Camping World Stadium. Coach Paul Miller and his team will represent the Lindbergh Flyers.

Several of the official Pro Bowl activities will be staged at Walt Disney World Resort as part of the league’s new approach of making Pro Bowl Week a celebration of all levels of football-from youth to high school to the NFL’s best. Lindbergh’s Flag football team will be attending the Pro Bowl game in VIP status and accommodations will be provided at the Disney Sports Resort hotel. The hosting team will be the Kansas City Chiefs, which has provided a grant to cover air fare. Former NFL football players and USA Football Ambassadors, Shawn Barber and Anthony Davis, will be attending with the team as honorary coaches.

A trip of a life time for the kids and coaches! More to come as the team travels to Orlando Florida!
