-
When speaking to another coach be professional and it will encourage them to
do the same. This lets the kids see how to handle pressure-your are the role
model for them- little eyes are watching every thing you do- what impression
do you want to engrain in them?

Be clear when speaking with referee about timeouts or issues

Focus on basic fundamentals then move up to over all schemes.

Remember kids don't want to do poorly so when they do correct them by
telling HOW to do better and fix their mistake.

If a player or the team doesn't do as well as it wants ask them how to reach
their goals which will enable you to explain the ways they can improve and
work harder in practice time
-
Smile, have fun and Enjoy the game. Let the kids see the score is not
important but their efforts are what makes them get praise.
-
Go over the rules with the kids and encourage them to understand why a call
is made therefore understanding the game better
-
Encourage, then correct, then encourage again. ex. Johnnie your a good ball
player I believe in you but if you would look the ball in you would make the
big catch- and I know you will make the catch next time.
-
Most importantly, Enjoy the Game…
